3548xl to GEIP+ one arm routing

If I set up a link from a 3548 to a GEIP+ and segment the switch into 3 vlans, what IP should I use on the switch for the default gateway?

Also, do I have to set up a native vlan for vlan 1 since it is DOT1Q? I have only used the ISL trunks before and was not sure of the config. I am trying to set the switch up to pass 4 vlans over the Gig port to the router. The 3548 is set based.

There won’t be an ip on the switch used for default gateway, which is the job of the router. A layer 2 switch doesn’t care about layer 3 addressing at all. Your router will have four subinterfaces , these will be the default gateways…one for each of the respective networks. http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/50.shtml
