3550 12g Console Port just outputs ascii characters when used

When I use the console port I will sometimes get normal characters but most of the time it just oupts junks. The console port is default speed at 9600 and terminal session is set right. I have 40 switches and this is the only one giving me an issues. I upgraded to the lastest code and still has the same problem. If I telnet to the switch it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas. I tried changing the speeds on the console port and it didn't help. I am out of ideas with this problem.

Definately give TAC a call, it has been a while but I have seen similar problems on a 3745 router and ended up having the entire motherboard replaced.
