I need to replace 5500 access layer switches and considering using 3750's. In some of the access layer closets I may have to stack up to 7 switches. Does anyone have a site large enough for this requirements and have you experienced any technical issues and if so what. Is there another alternative to the 3750 that would better suit this size of network.

You can stack upto 9 switches and I have seen customers with stacks of 9 switches connect to their core/distribution.
If you prefer traditional chassis based switch, you might want to consider CAT4507R chassis with Sup2+ Supervisors and 48 port ethernet cards in them. With 4507R and dual Sup2+, you can have Supervisor redundancy as well.

thanks for your response. I will be connecting access layer into distribution layer where there are 4506s. I am also considering the 4506 for the access layer, but the 3750s are much cheaper.
I was trying to see if anyone had experienced any technical issues where more than 6 were connected together.
