4006 bootflash error

I get the error " error -14 open device bootflash failed (no more file records)" when I type in the command dir bootflash: on a Catalyst 4006. I am in the process of installing the CWI and need info contained in the bootflash. What would this error be indicating and how would I fix it. Thanks

Hi Thomas

I will try on this one, but if it doesnt work contacting TAC will be your best bet.

Sounds like you may be out of space, re: the absolute number of files that can be placed on bootflash.

Sup4#sh bootflash:

will give you detailed info on whats on the flash including deleted files that may not have been squeezed.

Whether the above command gives you access or not..you may want to squeeze the bootflash: and try again with the dir bootflash:

If the squeeze doesnt work for you..contact TAC..they handle these types of questions on a regular basis
