Is it possible to rate-limit per VLAN with the Layer 3 Module on a Catalyst 4006? If so, is all traffic passed through the CPU and how much rate-limited traffic is too much to handle?
It is not possible to rate-limit per vlan. It is possible to rate-limit only on physical ports. CPU is really not the issue, it is backplane which is the limit.
