6509 Port ErrDisable w/ Compaq NIC's

I am running a 6509 switch with Compaq DL360's connecting to the box, using teaming NIC's in a redundant fashion. What is occuring is the ports are being turned to errdisable where the Dl360's are plugged in. We reset the ports and they seem to work for a while. Any ideas?

Try the command, "set errordetection portcounters disable"

You've got errors on the ports.

Propably caused by a duplex mismatch.

Try to configure both ends (switchport and NIC) to fixed settings.

One end configured for auto-negotiation and the link-partner configured to full-duplex will cause a duplex mismatch and you will have problems as you report.
