Hi,
Can anyone help me out with a 6509 error message?
'sh ver' output (below) contains the message:-
'EXTBAN checksum failed'
Does anyone know what this means? Switch does not seem to suffer any adverse effects.
Thanks in advance
Keith

Take a look at the following bug CSCdx87646

This means you will lose the part of the config when the switch reloads due to some corruption. So please save the config and reload the switch.
This bug has been fixed in 7-5-1, 6-3-11 etc

esp config related to something with the banners in your config might be lost

Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I'm not certain the bug matches exactly. We don't have the red light and 'sh test 1' does is not shows NVRAM passed. However, I think we will save the config and reload the switch and I'll let you know the outcome
Thanks for all the help
Best regards
Keith
