I have a Cisco 7507 with 256 RAM on a RSP 4+. The router has 1 FEIP2-DSW-2TX with 2 FE cards, 1 VIP2-50 with 1 FE card and a VIP2-50 with an 8 port V.35 serial card. The router is running IOS version 12.2(8)T10. The 8-port V.35 card has my two Internet providers on it with 3 T1 circuits each.
The other night the VIP with the 8 port V.35 card in it crashed. I was able to access the router from the Ethernet port and see the configuration but the serial ports were missing from the running configuration. Once I rebooted the router everything seems to work fine, but temporarily I have the router off production and a backup router in its place. I still have access to the router if I need any information from it. Fortunately I have a Cisco Works server running and the router was setup to send traps to the server. Below is what was sent to the syslog on the CW server. Ive included the description header and the detail of each. I also check the crash info file on the router but it appears it was not complete for was corrupted, as I was not able to retrieve or view it.

All the above error messages seems to be Hardware failure messages. First try with Online Insertion and Removal (OIR) of modules, if problem persists, then go for replacement is the final option.

I'll try that first and let you know.
Thanks.
