828 back-to-back connect with G.SHDSL port

Can two 828 router connect together with G.SHDSL Port? If yes, what is the pin assignment for the cable used to connect them?

Yes they can be back-to-back. A straight through RJ-11 cable is all you need.

I have used a straight throught RJ-11 cable connected between the two router. But the ATM interface is down, line protocol down.

What is the config requried for the atm interface? Would you provide some sample config?

interface ATM0

dsl equipment-type (cpe or co where cpe stands for customer premises equipment and co stands for central office) you must designate one router as cpe and the other as co

dsl linerate (kbps or auto)

dsl operating mode gshdsl symmetric annex A(A for north america and B for Europe)

clear interface ATM0

then assign and ip address to each interface and u are done
