Hi Guys,

i have configured a eigrp routing process with "passive interface" on dialer1 because i don't want routing updates or any eigrp related things to be sended to the internet provider. But it seems that eigrp hellos a still send out of the dialer1 interface.

The are the config parts i have configured:

router eigrp 1

passive-interface Dialer1

network 192.168.32.0

network 0.0.0.0

no auto-summary

SKYNET-GW#debug ip packet det

IP packet debugging is on (detailed)

SKYNET-GW#

4d09h: IP: s=192.168.32.199 (local), d=224.0.0.10 (Ethernet0), len 60, sending broad/multicast, proto=88

4d09h: IP: s=217.233.231.53 (local), d=224.0.0.10 (Dialer1), len 60, sending broad/multicast, proto=88

4d09h: IP: s=192.168.32.199 (local), d=224.0.0.10 (Ethernet0), len 60, sending broad/multicast, proto=88

Where is the problem, what is my mistake? Don't wonder about the "network 0.0.0.0", this propagates the default route of my internet gateway to my lab.

Best Regards, Niko

Did you try debugging eigrp hellos? There, you will find these packets are being suppressed to go out from Dialer1.

Hope this helps.

This looks like it could be related to CSCec42182, which is awiating further information from the TAC engineer, I think.

Hi Russ,

thanks for this, i think my problem hit this Bug exactly. Can i help delivering informations for this Case? Which Informations will be needed?

Regards, Niko

I don't know... I'd contact obardenh@cisco.com, and see if he can use the information from your network in some way to help him get what he needs.
