ACL Manager 1.3

When I try to start any ACL Manager applet I get the following error.

"Failed to connect to ACLM server."

I do not have any Campus Manager applications running!

I have stoped and started the ACLM Server process. The status shows

"Running but busy flag set."

ChangeAudit status is

"Program started - No mgt msgs received"

Any help would be appreciated!

Phillip

How how some details like version of RME, CD-One, Operating System ?. Is the ACLM Server and RmeGateKeeper process running?

I have the very same problem (up to the mentioned details!) on a Win2K SP2 machine running RWAN 1.1 + LMS 2.0 incl latest patches.

Hi Philip,

Any one of the below may be responsible for the problem you are facing.

1. If CiscoWorks2000 is installed on a multi-homed host, ACL Manager client

may have problems connecting to the server.

2. ACLM client and server communication happens over TCP ports greater than

1024. Make sure TCP traffic of ports greater than 1024 is not getting

blocked in-between by a firewall.

If so, invoke the web-browser on the server machine itself and connect to

CW2K using http://machine-name:1741/. Do not use "localhost" in the URL.

3. If you are running ACL Manager client from a web-browser on the server

machine itself, make sure you connected to CiscoWorks2000 using the URL

http://machine-name:1741/ and not http://localhost:1741

Do let us know if you need any further help.

thanks,

Sunil Thomas Koshie
