activating loop on E1-help

we are using cisco 7200 vxr series router. we are int the process of commissioning channlized E1. can u help me on activating the loop on sub interface(16 slot). any ios upgradating can help. at present we are using IOS 12.3

though i donno exact CLI for tht , i would suggest to give loop from the last point at ur end on both the sides and chek (if its an mux its possible to do both at the same time).

hello

while terminating line at e1 controller. u have to specify the command channel group.... the no specified in this command willbe used to make sub interface on which u have to specify the logical perameters. like encap ,, ip add,, .

I had mapped the channel group 1 to 30, to times slot 1 to 30. When using network module E-1 card in 2600 series router I am able to activate loop in subinterface 16th time slot. When I am using port adapter in 7200 vxr series router i am not able to see the command in subinterface.

You don't happen to have another E1 card that you are using for ISDN by any chance? The clue might be in the problem being with cannel 16.

If so, do you have a global isdn switch-type command. If so, and you want to use the new E1 card for pure channelised E1, I guess you will have to remove the global isdn switch-type command and apply it just on the E1 doing the ISDN. I've never used channelised E1 though, so I'm only guessing.
