Adding a Second Supervisor Card to Catalyst 6509

I´m trying to add a second supervisor card to my Catalyst 6509, but I´m facing problems to do that, as soon as I add the second one, the second takes the control of the switch and it boots from the image that it has... See the hardware:

SLOT 1 - WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE

SLOT 2 - WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE <-- the new one

SLOT 3 - WS-X6408-GBIC

SLOT 4 - EMPTY

SLOT 5 - EMPTY

SLOT 6 - EMPTY

SLOT 7 - EMPTY

SLOT 8 - WS-X6148-RJ-45

SLOT 9 - WS-X6148-RJ-45

The Supervisor in Slot 1 has a Card in it´s Slot0, but the Supervisor in Slot 2 doesn´t... Should I copy only the boot loader to the Supervisor in slot 2? I need to add a Flash Card in the Supervisor 2, to meet the config in Slot 1?

Is there any procedures to add a second supervisor? I haven´t found one at Cisco Website...

I think you are crashing the first supervisor by inserting the second supervisor *slowly* into its slot. If you insert the second supervisor very slow into the slot connector on the backplane, it can cause a bus stall and cause the first supervisor to reset.

To verify if that is what is happening, collect the console log from the sup in slot 1 while you are inserting sup in slot 2. Or just insert the sup2 normally (not too slow inserting in the chassis)
