Aux port in a Catalyst 6506?

I would like to know how to connect to the console port of a catalyst with modem US Robotics 56k by telephone line.

I have configured the console port with this command:

set interface sl0 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.2

I haven't stablish a connection from my PC with another US Robotics modem with the next slip address 10.1.1.2.

What can I do?

set the modem strings to auto answer.also you have to set proper modem strings .

e.g AT %e0 k1 s36=40 &w
