Is there a good method for pulling statisitcs on Bandwidth utilization on routers / switches? Or do professionals use a program like Cisco Works for that kind of information?
Thanks in advance for your input.

I am currently using MRTG but I was looking for something else, whether they are commands for the router / switch to quickly look and see how much bandwidth is being used at any given time.
In order to use MRTG for some devices casuses a lot of policy changes to take place (i.e. punching holes into firewalls, etc.) So I was trying to find something that would give that kind of information on the fly...

If you do a show interface, one of the lines give the input and output rate. These values are the bandwidth utilisation (5 minute exponential average).
