BBSM / Multinet / VLAN Scenario

Greetings,

This for a hotel.

Here is the scenario we have a client coming in and wants to have a full 1.5Mb reserved for him. He will be bringing his own firewall in and needs to know the address. We are going to setup a separate VLAN for him. The client firewall will sit on the private VLAN and will also be connected to the BBSM VLAN. Is there a way to reserve his IP address or make sure a static address on the BBSM multinet network will connect properly? Also I tried setting up the external router and I receive a message stating that the router needs to be on the same subnet as the external interface. Currently the router that will perform the bandwidth management is 1 hop from the external interface. Any ideas?

Thanks

Yes, this should be possible by creating multiple subnets(multinets). You can assign your client to one subnet(vlan) and the rest in the other vlans. But make sure that the BBSM is in the management VLAN. The following document gives you some idea on how BBSM is used with VLANs.
