BGP routes control

I have disscussion with my co-worker to decide what we should use to control and modify routing information that is exchanged between routing domains. both neighbor prefix-list and neigbor route-map serve the the purpose.

and both could work together as well. is there any pro and cons between this two methods??

The route-map method is clearly more flexible but if all you want to do is filter based on prefixes, I don't see much difference between using one or the other.
