Bridging with GRE

Hi all,

Does anybody have a working config for bridging a subnet between GRE hosts.?

I need to extend a subnet across any IP background for some temp testing so i am using a couple of 3620's.

I know the bridge-group option on the tunnel interface works but only for none IP traffic, i have tried using mode ipip with no joy.

Any help appreciated!

It is my understanding that bridging IP over GRE is not a supported function. What that means is that you might get it to work by defining the GRE tunnel, not configuring an IP address on the tunnel, and configuring a bridge group on the tunnel. But if you configure this and something does not work right that Cisco may not take any action or be able to help you fix that problem.
