Buying Power over ethernet cards for 6500s

I'm considering buying some 6348-RJ45-V power over ethernet cards for my 6500s. Is there any standard the existing 6500 chassis has to meet for the inline power to work? Does the backplane have to be compatible and what power supplies should it already have?

All the 6500 chassis are cisco inline power compatible. You can certainly go for the modules. To check the power please check the " show system " output and it will list the power supply model model#, current power drawn and remaining power and you can go according to that.
