Hi,

I'm curious as to what professions/contractors install Cat5/6 and fiber in buildings?  Electricians?  How do they price?  Do they use any softare to track or document their cabling/patch panels/sub-terminals?

Any insights will be apprciated.

If you ask them, they will.  In Australia, we ask the cable contractors to submit TDR (for copper) and/or OTDR (for fibre optic) test results.
