I have installed my first 1131AP at a remote end of a building by connecting it to a switch that ties to a Cisco E2000 router in another IDF closet. I want only guest access availability, but I cannot even pick up the wireless signal. I am obviously a neophyte and need some direction.

Sorry, but you are in one end of the building an the WAP is in the opposite end? How far away are you? Did you enable SSIS broadcasting?
If you were standing close to the WAP do you see the SSID?

I have enabled SSID and I was standing within three feet of the AP. I was not able to see the SSID...

So let me get this straight:
1. You have enabled broadcast SSID; and
2. You're standing three feet away from the WAP
And you can't see the SSID?
Are the radios enabled?
Can you post the config of the WAP?

I am up and running and have a full signal. Now, how can I broadcast GUEST access instead of my network access? Any tutorials available?
