Yes, for Config Management, it depends on the order set under RME->Administration->Config Management->General Setup->Transport Setup and set the order.

But my understanding was that some CW components (Campus Manager, e.g.) were not SSH compliant? And could not be installed on the same server as RME using SSH then?

Regards,

Milan

What you're referring to above is the SSL/https compliance and not SSH. Yes, Campus Manager is not SSL/https compliant and cannot be install with RME is SSL is enabled. But the question here is related to SSH and not SSL/https.

To follow this on the SSH issue, the above mentioned steps cover RME, but is there a way to get Campus manager, Ciscoview etc to use SSH? Can the underlying files be modified to change the command pushed down to the client?

Thanks.

There are only three Transport protocol on list TELNET, TFTP and RCP.

I don't have choice for SSH.

Thanks

Support for SSH was added in RME 3.4 and later only. If you're running RME 3.3 and earlier versions, you will not see the SSH option in settings.

Thank you very much.

What about devices that do not support SSH yet?

If I set the order to SSH, TFTP, Telnet, RCP how will this affect devices that are not SSH capable.

I am assuming that if they do not support SSH then they will try the next options, in order and should still work.

There is a ssh client of some sort built into CW2K so no further set up is needed for CW2K to use SSH.
