Dear,
Can you tell me derectly about this question,my customer need the WIC-1DSU-56K4,now we just have the WIC-1DSU-T1,I told him the WIC-1DSU-T1 can replace the WIC-1DSU-56K4,but he can not accept this,can you help me this question?

You can not replace the WIC-1DSU-56K4 with the WIC-1DSU-T1. They each have different network interface specs.

a 56k line uses pins 1,2,7, and 8, while a t1 uses pings 1,2,4,and 5. that is why they aren't interchangeable. However if the circuit from the carrier is a frac t1 with just 1 channel, (64 or 56k) you would use the t1 dsu. Most people don't get 1 channel on frac t1, but have seen 2 several times. the advantages of using a frac t1 is that if you need to upgrade, you don't have to change csu/dsu's, you just configure more timeslots, (of course carrier has to do it on his end also)
