Cannot TFTP Sup720 Image

At the beginning of this month of May, Cisco has deferred a raft of Supervisor 720 images due to at least one serious software issue. This affects two of my customers. But when I try to TFTP these 30MB+ files to bootflash, the TFTP servers either report "file too large" or simply timeout halfway through. Even FTP fails. But I have not seen any mention by Cisco of TFTP for Sup720 images being an issue. Has any one else had this issue? In the meantime I will get the customers to pay for flash cards, with the replacement image already on.

Most TFTP servers do not support large files.

I have had pretty good success with TFTPd32 even with large files. Try using it

Alternatively, you can use FTP

Thanks very much for your good advice! I have not been able to test TFTPd32 with the Sup 720 images but it works where other popular TFTPDs fail, eg copying images from Sups. FTP failed with a protocol error but I did not pursue it.
