cant Start the Cisco Catalyst 3500 Xl series

Hi..

Im a Mexico's student and I need to pass my test running a Cisco Catalyst 3500 XL. I only have the Cisco Switch and we need to obtain the drivers and manuals anyway and anywhere this is our test.

I have got the manual, but I dont know how to comunicate to it by the console. I dont know if the switch have an http address or something like that.
