Cat 4507 IOS Upgrade

Hi All,

Planning on doing an upgrade on the IOS of my catalyst 4507r. I am running dual supervisors and want to make sure I will be using the correct commdands and this is the correct way to do so.

copy tftp:<tftp server ip> bootflash:cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA5.bin

config t

>no boot system flash bootflash:cat4000-is-mz.121-20.E3.bin

copy bootflash:cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA5.bin slavebootflash:cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA5.bin

config t

>config reg 0x2

>boot system flash bootflash:cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA5.bin

copy running-config start-config

redundancy reload peer

redundancy force-switchover

Ensure that you meet these requirements before you attempt this configuration:

Verify memory and boot ROM requirements.

Download the valid software image.

Install the TFTP server on your PC.

Back up the current switch configuration and software image
