Cat2950G - failure

Hi

i am trying to recover a Cat2950G following a corrupted s/w download. When the switch boots it goes straight to ROM monitor mode. Even though i managed to upload to flash a new image correctly using xmodem, when i instruct the switch to boot from the new image using the boot flash:*.bin cmd it comes up saying that permission is denied.

I tried to delete the old corrupted image from flash, and again it tells me that permission is denied. I have renamed the old config.text as well just incase.....This has me puzzled since i didnt know that there were permissions set in monitor mode.

Hi, what is the output of "dir flash:" ?

The dir flash: command shows all the files including the old corrupted bin file and the new bin file i downloaded correctly using xmodem. When i try to delete the corrupted image it tell me that i dont have the permission to do this. I get the same message when i try to boot the correct image....
