catalyst 2950 ei + ssh

Hey all,

I want to setup ssh to access CLI on the switch from my workstation. The current IOS on the switch is c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA2.bin which is not the 3des crpyto image from what I understand. Do I need the 3des crpyto image before I can use SSH?

It is an EI imaged switch.

You do need an image with crypto support to be able to do SSH.

may depends on the version too.

EA6 we've been loaded lately has the crypto capability.
