Catalyst 2950 - SPAN and inpkts

Hello,

I have problems to get the inpkts feature work on my cat 2950 (running latest ios release)

(in my scenario, the device that is connected on the monitoring port has to send/receive ip packets)

the monitor config is as follow :

"...

monitor session 1 source interface Fa0/1 - 2

monitor session 1 destination interface Fa0/12 ingress vlan 1

..."

"sh span" confirms that ingress is enabled.

however the device does not answer

I have done several tests without any success

Any clues ?

I believe the command should work since your configuration is correct. However you can also check the configuration guide again.

thks for your reply. In fact I wanted to suppress this post but was too late! I have done some additional verifications It seems there is a bug when you try to ping FROM the switch itself (using its admin adress) and some of my tests were from it.
