Is there anyway that you can define certain ports to act as an uplink? I would like to eliminate the multiple cross over cables that I use. If so, how would you go about doing this?
Thanks,

By uplink, do you mean to say carry multiple VLANs? If so, you can configure the interface to be a trunk.

The switch is set with it's default, every port is on Vlan1.
Basically, this switch is replacing 4 hubs. The problem is the hubs I'm replacing each had an uplink port, and were connection via expansion in/out ports. So now I'm left with 4 devices which are cabled with patch cables, when it should have been cross cables. Before I move the furniture, and recable I though there might be a way to assign certain ports to be uplinks. If so it would save me a great deal of pain in having to climb up in the ceiling.
Did that make sence?
