Catalyst 6509 Port Monitoring

I am running native IOS on a Cat6509 and want to do port monitoring.

Is it posible? If so, what is the command.

I am currently running the following code:

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software

IOS (tm) c6sup2_rp Software (c6sup2_rp-JSV-M), Version 12.1(12c)E2, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

The command is "monitor session".
