Hello Gihan,

Greetings,

Cisco Professional-level certifications (CCDP, CCNP Cloud, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Security, CCNP Service Provider, and CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years.

To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certification

And according to your paln to take the CCDP 300-320, it will recertify your CCNP!

here is a link to check yourself, https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/certifications/professional/ccnp-routing-switching.html#~stickynav=5

I hope my reply is helpful enough to get a helpful rate!

Hello Gihan,

My CCNP will expires in December, 2019 and I was planning to do exaclty what you said... renew my CCNP by taking 300-320 ARCH exam. A friend of mine told me that cisco has changed this policy and I know Cisco will make major changes on these policies and exams. Have you took the ARCH exam and extendend your CCNP?
I tried to research about that, but the information doesn´t seem very clear to me.

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

Hi there,

The ARCH exam is being retired on 23 Feburary 2020.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/exams/current-list/arch-300-320.html

If you take and pass the exam before that date then you will renew your CCNP for another 3 years.
