Changing Devices in CiscoWorks

I am running Ciscoworks 2000 on Windows 2000(Sp4). Recently we have changed some of our Cat OS devices to MSFC2 (from MSFC1) and incidentally changed the supervisor boards (making cutover much easier as we could have the supervisor upgraded and configured prior). Anyhow, I recently noticed that a bunch of these devices now will not authenticate via TACACS from Ciscoworks. For example, when I run View Check Results it tells me that the TACACS login information is incorrect. I have Changed the Device Attributes a number of times as well as deleted the devices and let CW re-discover. They still will not authenticate. I checked our ACS server and the failed attempts log states that CW is using q as the username as opposed to the right username that I have given it. Has anyone experienced this same issue? Anybody have ideas as to a fix for this? Thanks. David

Sounds like CSCsa08926 where CW2K fails to login using TACACS as there is a slight delay when getting the login prompt back from the device, but the CW2K doesn't wait for the prompt. By the time the prompt has appeared, it issues the

command "q" to quit, therefore the TACACS server fails to authenticate as the username "q" doesn't exist.

Thanks for the info. I looked at the bug report and it is close to the problem I am having, so I have contacted Cisco. Thanks again for your reply. David
