Hello
I am using 3745 router with 2 port Channelized E1 module with RAD HTU E1 CSU for Channelized E1 connectivity. I am using Cisco PRI-E1 cable.
The problem is there is a indication of LOC ( it indicates the router CSU connectivity ) and it is showing that connectivity between router and CSU is not OK. I have changed E1 cables but nothing happening, I need to cross the Tx, Rx signals between router and CSU. Then it works.
Which cable is proper for this?

Hello,
here are the Cisco part numbers, depending on what connector the CSU has):
CAB-E1-RJ45BNC
E1 Cable RJ-45 to Dual BNC (Unbalanced)
CAB-E1-RJ45TWIN
E1 Cable RJ-45 to Twinax (Balanced)
Check out the following link:
Before you change the cable though, try to toggle the crc4/no crc-4 on your E1 controller, there might be a problem with that:
Router#conf t
Router(config)#controller e1
Router(config-cont)#framing no-crc4
Router(config-cont)#shut
Router(config-cont)#no shut
or (depending on what you have configured originally):
Router#conf t
Router(config)#controller e1
Router(config-cont)#framing crc4
Router(config-cont)#shut
Router(config-cont)#no shut
You also might want to try to power down/power up your CSU.
Regards,
Georg
