Hi,

Does the Cisco 1000BASE-T GBIC (part number:WS-G5483

) supports 10/100Mbps apart from 1000 Mbps full-duplex connections?

This GBIC only supports 1000-Mbps full-duplex connections. If the port configuration settings are changed, the switch does not detect and enable the GBIC

It is a 1000Mb Full Duplex only but my read is that you could fix the duplex and speed, thinking that you will speed up an autonegotiation, but this probably does nothing to speeed the negotiation. It only defeats some diagnostic capability available in the auto mode.
