Thank you for any help you can offer. Remote site was running fine one day the next the line protocol goes down and I haven't been able to recover it. basic classless config, s0 and fastethernet int's configured and ppp is in use. Line protocol on the s0 port wont come up. Once again thanks j

This might sound stupid, but it is usually the first thing that I ask a user with a proble.....Did you restart the device?

If the answer is yes.. I would use the erase nvram command in the privledged mode and start with a fresh config....that way you get a better understanding of the config.. its a win win situation. At least thats the idea.
