We have a client who uses a Cisco 1721 Router for their internet access and runs Microsoft SBS 4.5 for their server. They want to use VPN to access their office but I understand the 1721 does not support VPN. Is their a way of configuring the router to forward all inbound VPN traffic to the NT Server which will then authenticate the login and grant access to the network?

1721 does have IPSec support. So you can use this image to build the VPN. Alternatively, you must be able to achieve authentication using a AAA server.

TO have IPSec Support, do I need a certain version of the software or is it available on all versions?
