Hi
I've configured my Cisco 1921 Router and saved the running-config to startup-config but when I cut the power or reboot(reload) the router I get the following:
"Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes/no]:"
And the running config is cleared, why? I write "wr" after every change and copy the config to startup-config.¨
Regards
Erik

Hi Eirk,
Check the "show version" command and verify what is the configuration register set to. To boot with saved running configuration it should as below.
Configuration register is 0x2102

Hi,
make sure the configuration register is set to 0x2102 with show version command.
if it ain't then in global config enter following:

Now the config sticks after a reload but the router spamms:
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/router.cfg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg (Timed out)

How come?
