Cisco 2621 does not recognize 1-port ADSL WIC

Running IOS 12.2(6r). Installed WIC mentioned above in slot W0. Slot W1 is empty.

I went through initial configuration and set up FastEthernet0/0 and 0/1.

It doesn't seem to recognize the WIC at all and there are no lights.

I tried bringing it up using INTERFACE Serial0/0, "" Serial0/1.

Still nothing.

I'm not sure if the ADSL line is active but would the card still not be recognized?

Obviously I'm a bit new to routers.

For 2600, WIC-1ADSL first supported in Cisco IOS Release 12.1(5)YB - now supported in Cisco IOS Releases 12.2(4)T, 12.2(2)XK, 12.2(4)XL onwards..and Requires a Cisco IOS "Plus" image..

So download any of above image or later with PLUS featureset..to fix the problem.
