Hi All,
We recently acquired a Cisco3548 and in the process of clearing out its config, we accidently deleted all the files in its flash.
We have since copied all the files from a similar switch that does work and made sure that the MAC_ADDR setting has been updated correctly (we did that in ROMMON).
However, we get the following error during POST:
C3500XL POST FAILURE: sp_post_data_buffer: The received frame doesn't match the
sent-out frame.
C3500XL POST FAILURE: Address: 0x00000000
C3500XL POST FAILURE: Send bytes : 0x8000 0x0000 0x0000
x0000 0x0000
C3500XL POST FAILURE: Receive bytes: 0x3001 0x3001 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0
(Please see the attachment file for full POST output)
We have even tried to reformat the flash and copy all the files, but still same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Raman Khurana

The C3500XL POST FAILURE: messages indicate a hardware issue with the switch.

hi
without thinking twice, open a TAC case and you will get the replacement by showing POST Failures.
