I am configuring a network, I would like to use the Cisco 3640 with 4 network modules. Can you buy a fiber interface, to connect the router to switches with fiber? I can not find this information. Thanks Dana

dana,
u can use any media. but your router as well as the switch module should have the support for the media.i mean to say that both the router and switch should have a fiber interface to connect to each other.

Hello,
I don't know your switch but with the 3640. See NM-1FE-FX= This is the part # for a 1 port 100bFX network module. This will be a SC fiber connection.
Hope it helps
