Cisco 804 ISDN modem

I have a Cisco 804 ISDN modem running c800-y6-mw.122-10a.bin and already have a TAC case on this but wanted to run it past all of you also.

The problem appears to be that at 8 hour intervals the isp disconnects us along with everyone else to release any dormant connections. Approx. 15 seconds later my ISDN modem attepmts to establish a connect to the ISP again.

According to the debugs it always manages to connect on both channels, however sometimes we can ping its public IP and sometimes not. Also occasionally we see a routing loop at the ISP level 1 hop before our box.

I would like to know if it is possible to set our ISDN modem to wait 60 seconds before it attempts to establish a connection with the ISP's equipment, under the theory that the ISP has not had enough time on its end to rip our routes / call down.

Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated.

Dialer enable-timout 60 command under the interface will do that job for you.

Thanks. I have just put it in there and will let you know how it goes in approx. 7 hours. If I understand the command correctly, when the ISP drops our channels, then the 804 will wait for 60 seconds before attempting to redial. Is this correct?
