Cisco 836 ADSL Router & Easy VPN Server

Hallo,

I have a cisco 836 ADSL Router with dynamic ip on the dialer interface. I would like to configure it as a VPN Server and connect to it through a cisco vpn client. Iam using ddns to discover the official ip address of the router. Have anybody experiences in this topic.

A VPN setup requires atleast one end to have a fixed address. If the address on your 836 is likely to change each time you reload or after some period oftime, your setup will not work to your satisfaction. You do need to get a static address for your router.
