Option 42 is used by the phones to tell them where to get time from.
DHCP Option 42 is used to provide the IP addresses of NTP servers to client devices during the DHCP process.
When an AP or IP Phone receives an IP address from a DHCP server, it also checks for DHCP Option 42 to obtain the NTP server addresses.
