Cisco2821 Ethernet over E1

Is it possible to configure this router so that it transmits Ethernet over E1?

I've got VWIC-2MFT-G703, HWIC-4ESW modules and 2 GigabitEthernet ports.

Configuration of E1:

!
controller E1 0/0/0
framing NO-CRC4
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31
!

When I configured E1,  Serial 0/0/0 interface with HDLC encapsulation appeared.

What should I do next to connect FE or GE to WAN (Serial, E1)?

You can not connect either FE or GE interfaces to an E1 interface. The E1 is a serial interface and can support serial protocols but can not support the Ethernet protocol. The connectors used may look the same but they can not interconnect FE or GE to E1.

Probably my question wasn't clear enough.

What I try to get is to encapsulate Ethernet-packet into E1 structure.

Similar to what Rick already posted, as far as I know you cannot (natively) use the Ethernet protocol on an E1. However, it may be possible to tunnel Ethernet across the E1 using something like L2TPv3.

Richard, Joseph, thanks for your answers
