I am looking to run ciscoview from a http link which would call ciscoview with a specific router. This is to put on an intranet page which lists routers and the people only have to click the link to open Ciscoview in a browser, login, and have it pull up the specificed device.

Thanks in advance

Before you do that, the user need to get login authorization from the servlet which cannot be done via CLI. Once you login, only then you can invoke CV from CLI and that would be valid for only that particular session only.

I put this type of functionality into a lot of things, web pages, Excel spreadsheets and the like. Make your reference http://:1741/CSCOnm/servlet/com.cisco.nm.cvw.servlet.CvServlet?DeviceName=.

CiscoWorks will determine if you have an active session or not. If not, the browser will bring you to a login screen. Log in and you will be brought to a CiscoView page of the device. No need to log in before clicking the link.
