I have a question regarding Ciscoworks design for the Enterprise.
We currently have RWAN which is EoS now but we already had plans to get a crossgrade for LMS which will run on the same server.
We're now moving into IP Telephony and so will be deploying ITEM2 as well.
Now the only note I've found so far is that CS2.2 service packs should not be put onto the ITEM server and we've had a recommendation to deploy it on another server but our plan was to put it on top of the RWAN box.
Is this a real problem and why?
Also if it's running on a seperate server do we send traps forwarding via DFM?
Finally linking to a remote RME box and what that means for ITEM? Do we end up with two servers polling all devices on our network or do we define the subset of devices just for the extended testing ITEM performs?
Sorry for the inane questions but I can't seem to find an NMS Architecture document at all on CCO.
