Ciscoworks LMS 2.1 - Syslog TImestamps Incorrect for Catalyst Switches

Hi,

The Ciscoworks LMS2.1 is unable to reflect the timestamps correctly for Catalyst Switches.

Have anyone encountered the same problem and have a workaround solution?

Please advice. Thanks.

The setting and observation are

1.Both the switches and Ciscoworks LMS2.1 Server are in Singapore.

2. The setting on the Catayst switches are:

a) set logging timestamps enable

b) set timezone CCT

c) set logging server enable

d) set logging severity 6

e) set logging level all 6 default

3. The syslog.log in the Ciscoworks have captured the correct timestamp which reflected the actual event time

e.g Sep 19 09:44:52 CCT +08:00

4.Seems like the Ciscoworks is unable to read/interpret the raw syslog.log string and use some default offset on the timestamps.
