Classful all-subnets broadcast forwarding Question

Hello

How does cisco IOS behave with a classful subnetted structure with respect to forwarding broadcast?

Assume a router with static routes only.

Does a directed broadcast to 36.255.255.255 get forwarded to all subnets of 36.0.0.0 network or the 36.255.0.0 all-ones subnet (assuning 1-byte subnet portion) ? Will the broadcast be forwarded over ppp links (rfc 1716 sec 5.3.5.3)? RFC 1812 sec 5.3.5.3 says it is obsolete, but that does not explain the practical behaviour. Will ip classless

What about when RPF is used? Does it behave lik ein RFC 922?

I will be able to test this out on PPP links only next month, but I can't wait for the answer.. :)
