Hi all,
When config multicast, what's the different between command "ip pim rp-address" and "ip pim accept-rp" ? I always use "ip pim rp-address", but in some config, it seems that the command "ip pim accept-rp" has the same function. Can anybody tell me what's the different between them? Thank You!
Best Regards

Typically you would use "ip pim rp-address" when you want to statically configure an RP for a multicast group and "ip pim accept-rp" when you wish to dynamically learn the RP address when using Auto-RP but wish to restrict which RP's are accepted for which groups.
